Class Descriptions

Wiggles - 5yrs & Under

This class introduces children to the magical world of dance. It assists the development of your child’s co-ordination, rhythm, musicality and imagination using a mixture of RAD Pre-Primary Ballet, ISTD Primary Modern and Open Jazz.

Giggle & Groove - 5yrs– 6yrs

This class continues to develop children creativity, co-ordination, musicality and rhythm. A very similar class to the wiggles but catered for an older age group combining RAD Primary Ballet, Primary Modern & Open Jazz

Movers & Groover's Ballet 6yrs – 8yrs

This is a fun and relaxed class which introduces children to the technical side of Ballet RAD grade 1 & 2. This class involves the development of your child’s ballet technique as well as their musicality, co-ordination and imagination.

Movers & Groover's Modern/Jazz – 6yrs – 8yrs

This is a more casual class than ballet, with the students still developing a basic technique using the ISTD Modern syllabus grades 1 & 2. This technique is then developed into choreographed dances in a fun and relaxed social environment.

Movers & Groover's Tap – 6yrs – 8yrs

This class introduces children to tap dancing. The class is spent learning the basics of tap using the ISTD Primary & grade 1 syllabus, and making lots of noise whilst still focusing on rhythm & musicality.

Movers & Shakers Ballet – 8yrs – 10yrs

This class continues to develop your child’s ballet technique using RAD grades 2 & 3. The class also focuses on extending their musicality, co-ordination and imagination as well as starting to develop their performance levels.

Movers & Shakers Modern/Hip Hop – 8yrs – 10yrs

The class is spent enjoying a mixture of Modern, Jazz & Hip Hop. The Students continue to develop their knowledge, technique and co-ordination in Modern ISTD grades 2 & 3 and broadening their styles with some Open Jazz & Funky Hip Hop.

Movers & Shakers Tap – 8yrs - 10yrs

Movers & Shakers Tap – 8yrs – 10yrs

The class continues to develop the children's knowledge, skill and co-ordination creating a strong tap technique using ISTD grades 2 & 3. This technique is then combined into funky dances using both the latest top 40 and or characterized music.

Pre Teen/Teen Ballet – 11yrs – 13yrs

This technical ballet class develops a strong ballet technique using RAD grades 4 and Intermediate Foundation in a fun relaxed environment.

Pre Teen/Teen Jazz Funk Hip Hop – 11yrs – 13yrs

Love to move & groove like your favourite pop stars???
Well come along and learn.
The hour is spent learning the latest funky moves you see on video clips as well as developing a modern technique ISTD grade 4 to enable you do execute those funky moves.

Pre Teen/Teen Tap – 11yrs – 13yrs

Love to dance and make heaps of noise??? This is the class for you!!
Come along and learn to dance like the famous Newcastle Tap Dogs.
Using ISTD grades 4 & 5 and Tapatak, your tap technique is developed giving you the strength and skill to carry off those funky moves.

Teen Jazz Funk Hip Hop – 14yrs & Over

Do you watch video hits on the weekend and wish you could move like them? Just come along and we'll help you achieve the rest!
Classes are a mixture of Open Modern, Open Jazz and some funky Hip Hop thrown in, in a fun relaxed and social environment.

Teen Tap – 14yrs & Over

A social and relaxed class for those who have a little tap experience or none at all. This class is a mixture of the ISTD and Tapatak syllabus steps put together in an open class arrangement.
