School Rules
Once enrolled at DANZA & Performing Arts, all students and their families are expected to abide by DANZA's rules enabling us to provide a happy, safe and cohesive environment for all.
- No food containing nuts can be brought into the studio.
- Students must enter the dance studio QUIETLY ensuring minimum disruption to any classes taking place.
- By entering the studio you accept that there may be risks inherent in attending or participating in the events or activities held in the venue. Therefore DANZA & Performing Arts is released from any responsibility or legal liability arising from your attendance or participation in an event or activity or the actions or negligence of other persons present. Each student is responsible for their own safety and they must be considered physically and medically fit to participate in the class.
- Before and after class, students are expected to be supervised by their parents. Teacher supervision extends only to students during classes.
- All students under the age of 12years of age must be collected from inside the studio. No students under 12years of age will be allowed to leave the studio without a designated adult.

The beginning of each class is dedicated to warming up. Warming up is essential to prepare the body for dancing and preventing injury, so please ensure you arrive on time for your class.
Students attending a performance class are required to arrive 15minutes prior to class to warm up.

Students are required to attend class in the DANZA uniform. Please see Uniform Options below for more information. We also recommend students bring a bottle of water (Not sugary drinks) to ensure they stay hydrated while dancing. Snacks can also be brought to class to consume during breaks and between classes.

DANZA Jackets are available to be worn to and from classes and performances. Students are more than welcome to wear them during the beginning of class warm up on colder days, but the jackets are not to be worn throughout class.

- Short hair to be clipped back or held off the face with a head band

Dance Shoes & Leg Warmers
Dance Shoes & Leg Warmers
All dance shoes & leg warmers can be purchased from Bloch at Chatswood or Warringah Mall. Second-hand dance shoes are available upon request and operate on an “all care no responsibilities” basis.
It is a service offered by DANZA to help keep costs to a minimum. If you have an item you would like to sell, please bring it to class in a plastic zip lock bag with an envelope clearly labeled with your name and the price. If you would like to purchase an item please email Michelle at DANZA.pa@gmail.com and advise the style of shoes you seek and the size required.
Uniform Policy
Uniform Policy
Correct dance attire including leotards, tights and shoes are essential for enhancing a student’s competency in performing dance steps as well as preventing injury. To this end, a set uniform policy is in place at DANZA. We offer a wide range of uniform items to suit varying functions and personal taste. We realise that if you are starting classes with us for the first time, it may take a few weeks for you to purchase the items required. Some uniform items are kept in stock regularly whilst others are on an order system. Only items of clothing that are part of the official DANZA uniform are permitted to be worn in class.

Costume Policy

DANZA has a policy to hire all costumes to students for all concerts and performances ensuring to keep costs to a minimum. When enrolling in numerous classes please bear in mind that you will be required to hire a minimum of two costumes per class for the annual concert. Performance Group costume hire will be additional.
Photography
Photography
During tuition at DANZA, students may be photographed. These photographs may then be used for promotional or archival purposes or published on the school’s website. If you do not wish your child’s photograph to be used, please advise Michelle via email DANZA.pa@gmail.com.
We also hold an annual photo shoot in October, prior to the end of year concert. Photos are available to purchase on the day of the concert and on line (for a short period of time). This Photo shoot is not compulsory but your attendance is appreciated.
Lost Property
Lost Property
DANZA will take no responsibility for lost property. We strongly recommend that all students clearly label their belongings to so that we can return items to the correct owner.
